Accents
The customers of this house project in Brovary wanted to make the interior warm and cozy, with an accent of wood texture. A dynamic element of vertical communication is a white bionic-shaped staircase. A supporting accent of the stairs is a lamp above the table. It emphasizes fluidity and movement in this space. And a large window near the stairs in the evening in a lighted house reveals a beautiful view from the street.
Space
The open space of the first floor is divided into different zones. The kitchen area has an island area with a sink opposite the main work surface. The dining table, made of a wooden tabletop with a live edge, seems to be partially embedded in the island area on one side and rests on three cylinder-shaped wooden legs on the other side. The seating area is a comfortable folding corner sofa. Behind it are white panels with warm atmospheric lighting, which is convenient to use in the evening when watching a movie. It does not give a lot of light, but creates an intimate and cozy atmosphere. Opposite the sofa is a fireplace area with a place to store firewood on the side. All the walls were decided to be white, which made it possible not to make an additional projector screen, but simply use the existing wall. The projector was decided to be a stationary one, suspended from the ceiling.
Shapes and materials
Emphasis on naturalness is one of the main characteristics of this project. Wood on the floor, walls or as a base for beds reminds of something natural. Some wooden elements, such as the tabletop in the kitchen, have undergone as little human intervention as possible, remaining as natural as possible. In the bedroom, the part of the wall behind the headboard is made of decorative facade stone in warm brown-gray tones which resonate with the color palette of wooden surfaces.
